Windows 7 has new feature called action center. Action Center is a central place to view alerts and take actions that can help keep Windows running smoothly. Action Center lists important messages about security and maintenance settings that need your attention by giving a pop-up balloon tips. However, some people think that this pop-up balloon is very annoying and want to remove it.
This tips are for you who think the action center is not very important and want to remove it from tray icon Windows 7. To remove action center from tray icon Windows 7 follow these steps:
- Click on Start »» Run. Type in “gpedit.msc” (without quotes) and hit Enter.
- On the Group Policy window, expand User Configuration »» Administrative Template »» Start Menu and Taskbar.
- On the right side of the Window, find the “Remove the Action Center icon” item and double click on it to open it’s setting windows.
- Next, on the “Remove the Action Center icon” setting windows. Check the Enabled options and click OK.
- Close the Group Policy window and restart your computer.



When the computer has restarted and you login to your Windows, the Action Center will disappear from the tray icon. That’s a simple tricks to remove the Action Center icon from tray icon Windows 7.
