Today’s web is all about open social networking. Even then, some information should ideally remain out of bounds from the public gaze. Most photos and videos are actually private memories and some of us may balk at sharing it with the World Wide Web. But video hosting websites which let you have a say on who gets to view the shared videos are sprouting up.

Recently, I came across a great website, Icon Finder, which allows you to search for icon for almost every application. IconFinder.com allows you to search through a huge database of almost 124,176 icons.

All you need to do is type the name of the application or a web service and it will show you all the available icons available in there database.
The site has a very clean and uncluttered interface that makes it easy to find anything you want. It’s my favourite icon finder and so far I’ve been able to find every icon I ever needed.
However luckily there are several tool available on the internet such as Proxy servers which would let you access banned or Prohibited Websites despite being blocked in your country, work or school.
What is a Proxy Server ?
In computer networks, a proxy server is a server (a computer system or an application program) that acts as an intermediary for requests from clients seeking resources from other servers. For example, it may filter traffic by IP address or protocol. If the request is validated by the filter, the proxy provides the resource by connecting to the relevant server and requesting the service on behalf of the client. A proxy server may optionally alter the client’s request or the server’s response, and sometimes it may serve the request without contacting the specified server.
And Here we are listing some of the popular Internet Proxies which would let you access your favorite Websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Orkut etc despite being blocked in your respective territory.
If a certain websites are blocked at your work or school then you must take cautious measure before using any of these proxy sites, I guess no one would want to do that at the cost being fired from the Job or kicked out from his or her school or college.
Some times it is necessary to block a particular website in our system but we can block a particular site in particular browser easily but blocking a site in all browser is some what skilly but it is easy by using this trick we can able to block the site in all browsers. To block site in all browsers we need to add the site to be block to the windows HOSTS file. Once you added site to this file the website will never opens it gives error like “Failed to Connect”.
The steps to block website in all browser by manually as follows :
- Go to “RUN“
- Type the following address in that (this is the address for the “HOST” file where it is located)C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC {for Windows XP and Windows Vista}
C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
{for Win 2000}
C:\WINDOWS
{for Windows 98 and ME}
- Open it in NOTEPAD The default windows Host look like this———————— # Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a ‘#’ symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
127.0.0.1 localhost
—————————
- To block a website in all browser add one more line below the line 127.0.0.1 as follows127.0.0.1 site to block ex: 127.0.0.1 www.youtube.com
127.0.0.1 http://www.youtube.com
This blocks the website youtube.com you can add any number of website to this list to block in all browsers
Save and exit
Open that website in any browser it will not open it will displays the error
Cannot find server or DNS Error saying: “The page cannot be displayed” or some other error as displayed in the image
There are moments in your life when you feel very angry at some one, may be because he or she has hurt your feelings or any other reason. If you are in a bad mood and don’t want to face that person and still want to express yourself, you would probably send him/her email, expressing all your angry and telling him how much you hate him/her after that incident.
But once you click that ‘Send‘ button, you realize that you were too hard/rude to that person and wished that you shouldn’t have sent that mail earlier. Moreover there is nothing you can do to prevent it.
Not any more! With Gmail’s Undo feature you can take back everything that you said. With just a push of a ‘Undo’ button (see screen shot), the mail that you sent couple of moments ago can be retrieved back to your inbox!
In the past couple of months, many new features have been added to Gmail, such as Voice and Video feature, Smileys and Gmail themes etc, but Undo Sent is something out of the box. There are so many other instances where this feature can be very helpful, for instance, if you have mistakenly sent an email to the wrong person or you have misspelled something in the context etc. etc.
However, this feature doesn’t come by default, you’ll need to set it yourself manually. In order to activate the Undo Send option;
1. Log-in to your Gmail account
2. Click on “Settings” in Gmail and then the “Labs” tab.
3. You will find the ‘Undo Send’ feature somewhere at the bottom of the page.
4. Enable it and click on ‘Save Changes’.
Now you won’t have to regret about it any more. But remember that you have only 5 seconds take make the decision, or else that mail will be delivered to its destination and then there’s nothing you can do to prevent it. Although, Gmail have plans to extend this ‘delay time’ to 10 seconds, however nothing can be said about the future at this moment.

To check mail we need to Log In each account at a time and need to Log out and Log in the same procedure continues… isn’t difficult for you ? so today I am going to show a add-on which can able to Login multiple Gmail account at a time!!

You probably know what a Web browser is. Believe it or not, most people don’t. That’s why Google has come out with a handy video explaining this magic window. If you happen to know any idiots who don’t know what a browser is, do them a favor and send them this clip. Considering Google’s push towards cloud computing with Google Apps and Chrome OS, it comes as no surprise that they would present the browser as “the most important program on your computer”. I’m sure the Microsoft Windows and Office people would have something to say about that.
Firefox passes the billion download milestone. Since its release in 2004, over 1 billion people have now downloaded a version of the Firefox browser. Well, kind of.
That ‘billion’ figure also includes people who manually update to each news version rather than auto-update – but it’s still a very impressive figure.
Firefox owns 31% of the worldwide browser market
Firefox now has an impressive 31% share of the worldwide browser, with Internet Explorer enjoying around 60%. Amazingly, Safari, Opera and Google’s Chrome browser each have less than 5% market share
How to unblock websites? These days, Internet filtering and controlled access is the new trend. More business owners are implementing filters within their companies with the purpose of blocking websites. Their intention is understandable but, on the other side, people love freedom and sometimes they feel mistreated. However, here are some things you can do that will help you bypass filters and unblock websites.
1. Use web proxies.
Many free online services allow you to access blocked websites through a proxy server. A proxy server is an intermediary between the user and the server where the request was send. Here is a list with the most known resources of web proxies: Proxy.org, HideMyAss.com, Kortaz.com, KProxy.com and Anonymouse.org

2. Use VPN connections.
A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is like a tunnel over the public network. The advantage of using VPNs over web proxies is that VPNs are more secure because they are using advanced encryption and allow you to access all the applications (mail, chat, browser etc) in complete anonymity and not only the web sites. The most known free VPN is Hotspot Shield.

3. Use Hide IP software.
These are easy to use and even if the main functionality is to hide IP address and unblock websites, there are applications that can provide you more than that – like cleaning online tracks, testing proxies, manually adding proxy etc. Usually if you choose a free software, then this will provide you a minimal number of proxies and no other features than hiding IP address. Not My IP is one of the latest free hide IP address software that has already gained a large market followed by the old UltraSurf which is already very popular. Regarding paid applications that provide more features and have a complex structure, my recommendations are IP Privacy and Hide My IP.

9. Change the http of an URL into https
This is the easiest way to access blocked websites. Of course, this might not work every time but you have many other solutions also. This is the fastest one.

ImHalal.com has been designed to "help Muslims explore the internet in a safe and clean environment", according to Reza Sardeha, the 20-year-old business management student who runs it.
Mr Sardeha, who is based in Amsterdam, told "We already have received quite a number of positive feedback from Non-Muslims saying they have set ImHalal.com as their homepage so that their children can explore the internet without coming across ‘filth’ as well."
The site works by assigning the search terms that are plugged in by users a "haraam level", which indicates the likelihood of the results they bring up touching upon things forbidden under Islam.
First Islamic search engine filters out sin, Bing search engine in challenge to Google
If a term is deemed completely safe, the results pop up immediately.
By contrast, tapping in the search term "pig", an animal that Muslims are not allowed to eat, prompts a warning that the word has been assigned a "haraam level" of "1", and the user is alerted that the results may be offensive. The user is then given the choice of viewing the results regardless, or of abandoning his search.
"Pornography" triggers a haraam rating of three the highest score, which indicates the highest likelihood of finding forbidden material.
We hope that in about one year time our search engine will be the most used search engine in the Muslim countries to start with and in the top three most used search engine in the world."
The new infrastructure site ‘under the hood’ of Google search engine, which means that most users won’t notice a difference in search result. However, web developers and power searchers might notice a few difference. The internet giant opened up a web developers preview to collect feedback
Google stressed that for now it is only seeking feedback regarding hoe Caffeine performs compared to it current search engine.
Technology colossus Microsoft has been appraising the momentum of its recently lynched search engine Bing and said it is taking long term approach in its quest to close the gap with market leading Google. Last year Microsoft tie-up with yahoo for a larger share of the online search market. Yahoo and Microsoft are the distant second search engine market where Google commands two-third of the traffic. Under the terms of the deal, Yahoo will use Microsoft’s new Bing search engine and handle web ad sales.
Forrester estimates the search and advertising market will grow by 15 per cent a year to more than 30 billion dollars in 2014 in the United States alone.
Drop.io, the super simple file sharing service has released a Yahoo Mail Application that allows Yahoo mail users to attach upto 100MB files to the mails while sending. The application is enabled by default for all users.
To use the feature select the “Attach Large Files” application from Applications Menu in yahoo mail, the application is not available via mail editor, you need to go through theapplication, attach files first and compose a message.
The recipients can see the attached files in a special drop.io page and comment on that or download to their computer. The files will expire after 30 days.
Drop.io developer says that the app is completely based on drop.io open API, i think they are showing the power of drop.io API with this application.
This is not the first app for sending large files with Yahoo Mail, Zumodrive has anapplication for quite some time that also allows you upload large files.
The Drop.io app is useful for Yahoo Mail users who want to send large attachments via email, and it will give some exposure to drop.io.
